It is basically a rock in the sea, yet Mother Nature treats the island well. Today we look at herbs growing wild on the island and in the Mediterraneans.
Allessandra, supported by her daughter Sofia, created a wonderful spot for people wanting to learn more about local and medicinal herbs. Originally from Italy, she went through her herbal education there, before settling in Gozo.
In this workshop, our group was introduced to the basics of herbal medicine based on our long European history dating back to Hippocrates Times!
Provided with a PDF on Traditional Mediterranean Medicine, we looked at the ancient theory of 4 different humors, focusing on the digestive system.
Plenty of time to ask questions and exchange understandings.
